Methodist Women In Britain

I was privileged to attend the MWiB fringe event at the Methodist Conference when my good friend, Sandra Goodwin, was inducted as the next President. The photo shows the former President, Ann Browse, handing over the chain of office to Sandra. The service was filled with love, prayer, laughter and friendship.

The speaker was The Rev Peter Barber, Chair of the Chester and Stoke-on-Trent District. His talk was based on a passage from Ezekiel but on several occasions was interspersed with enthusiastic words from his wife, Dr Jill Barber, on early Methodism and the role women played in those days. Jill is curator of Englesea Brook Primitive Methodist museum in Cheshire.

Sandra will be our guest speaker at the South East District day in Tonbridge on Saturday 24th March 2018. Please book the date and support the good work of MWiB. Full details to follow nearer the time.

We also have an East District day at River on Saturday 21st October. More details to follow.

I am now Forum Rep for the South East District so I will hopefully share a lot more with you over the coming months.

Please prayer for the work of MWIB, for Sandra, for the Executive members and Forum Reps who give their time on a voluntary basis. Please also look at the MWIB web page for all that goes on.

Blessings,
Credwyn Tolhurst
