Digital Evangelist
(Temporary contract for up to one year, with possibility of extension)
Hours: 30 hours per week, flexible hours, will include weekend working
Salary: £18,900 (pro rata to hours worked)

The LCSB, a community of Lay Benedictines, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2021 (, wishes to recruit a skilled faith-filled person who will be part of the community on a short-term vocational placement. This person will attend community prayer on a regular basis and this placement will be part of his/her own spiritual development.

The job duties will include building digital communications/regular podcasts, participating in events (Easter, the Summer Gathering) and regional meetings, forming LCSB teenagers in the faith and building a support, study and prayer network for them, and developing the Balanced Life Project for young adults. In addition, there is a requirement to work with Colour and Shape (outreach to young families), and to build programmes for the entire LCSB.

The successful applicant must be an excellent communicator with experience of liaising with a variety of groups, experienced in working with young people and building a process of digital communication such as podcasts together with good influencing skills and the ability to demonstrate initiative. Knowledge of the LCSB and its ethos together with the ability to update websites and experience of using social media is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
