Despite Union Street church being temporarily closed for a major renovation we are still looking to run a number of events in our gardens for the summer. There is a poster attached and full details below.

Pet Service – our annual blessing celebration of our furry friends on the front lawn.

Walking Down the Aisle – an informal afternoon tea on the lawn to celebrate those who were married at Union
Street, with a chance to look through the old marriage registers!

Reading the Names/Scattering the Ashes
‘Reading the Names’ will be a chance to reconnect with the names of some of those
who were buried in the graves on the front lawn. We envision this done in
groups of 20-30 names, read from the approximate position of where the bodies
are buried. Readers needed!
[Scattering
the Ashes’ ]will follow around 10.30 as a worship service to remember some who have died recently as their spouses scatter their ashes in the Memorial Garden.

Ride & Stride – our annual participation in this event for Friends of Kent Churches, a group which has awarded Union Street a grant.
