Calais People to People Solidarity


Tony Graff and Christine are collecting items for people living in the migrant camp in Calais. They will be taking what is given to a drop off point in Kent on the evening of 14th September. The items will be taken by either "Calais – People to People Solidarity" or "Help Calais."

Here's a list of the kind of things that are needed:

Accommodation

  • Tents (double-skinned and complete. Multi-person tents are very welcome, as well as smaller ones)
  • Sleeping bags
  • Blankets
  • Mattresses
  • Camp beds
  • Roll mats
  • Pillows
  • Pillow cases
  • Wood pallets
  • Canvas sheets
  • Damp Proof Membrane (DMP) to cover the shelters
  • Plastic tarpaulins – for groundsheets
  • Rope
  • Chairs and stools, e.g. folding chairs, camping stools
  • Nails for wood

Clothes

  • Shoes (trainers, walking shoes and boots)

Food

  • Containers / Jerry cans for food and water
  • Tinned food
