Please pray for Deacon Pru as she is ordained.

Dear Friends,

The 2015 Methodist Conference is this year being held at the Southport Theatre and Convention Centre. Conference opens at 2.15pm on Thursday 25th June with the Presbyteral Session and finishes on Thursday 2nd July with the conclusion of the Representative Session.

Saturday 27th June at 2:15pm sees the formal opening of Conference when the Revd Steven Wild will be inducted as President and Dr Jill Barber as the Vice-President of the Conference for this coming year.

Could I please encourage you and your church/circuit leading up to and during the Conference to pray for:

    • The Chair of the Liverpool District Revd Dr Sheryl Anderson and all of her team involved in hosting this year's Conference.
    • The Presbyteral Session.
    • Conference worship, both at the weekend and during the week.
      -Those being received into Full Connexion and being ordained on the Sunday, especially Deacon Pru from our District.
    • The guidance of the Holy Spirit in the conferring together to discern the way forward for the Methodist Church (published highlights for Journalists — http://tinyurl.com/ov43vwy ).

    Also, please pray for the Conference organising team and the General Secretary Rev. Dr Martyn Atkins as they continue to work hard behind the scenes. Also, for the outgoing President Revd Ken Howcroft and the Vice-President Mrs Gill Dascombe, especially giving thanks for all they have contributed to God's Kingdom over the past year.
